Tips for March in Basel

Dear Sir or Madam
Carnival is in the air. From 11 to 13 March, you can experience a wonderfully creative spectacle in Basel. Unusual musical instruments, imaginative costumes and outstanding performances make "Fasnacht" (carnival) in Basel a unique event. Current political and social issues, stories and anything else that's in the news are communicated in a way that is typical for Basel: with pride, spiky humour and a razor-sharp tongue. My tip: the lantern exhibition on Münsterplatz is particularly beautiful.

See you soon, on the "drey scheenschte Dääg", 'the most wonderful three days of the year'!

Kind regards,
Barbara Lustenberger, Guided Tours
