Zürich – World Class. Swiss Made.
Public festival at Zurich marathon
The route of the Zurich marathon, covering 42,195 kilometres, will take participants from across the world around Lake Zurich on 24 April. The attractive and varied route has, with a gain of less than 30 metres, virtually no elevation and allows fast running times for professionals and amateur runners. It leads down Bahnhofstrasse and therefore right through the heart of Zurich's old town. The streets will be lined by spectators and everyone involved can look forward to numerous festivities in the communities around the lake.

External guild as a novelty at Sechseläuten
Every year, on the third Monday in April, the guilds of Zurich and the city's population celebrate their traditional spring festival with great enthusiasm. And this year for the first time: a guild will be invited as a guest from 15 to 18 April. Under the motto of "Es rüüdig schöns Sächsilüüte!" (A really wonderful Sächsilüüte!), the historic Lucerne Zunft zu Safran guild will present itself with its own guild house in Lindenhof. The guild was established around 1400 and has some 450 members today. A varied programme is set to attract the Zurich crowds to the Lindenhof. The guests can look forward to a colourful mix of entertainment.
